For thirty years, a presentation has been a picture of an idea — flattened, exported, frozen the moment you pressed save. We learned to live with it. We stopped noticing that our most important stories were being told in the least capable medium we own.
Because the most capable medium already exists. The web is live where slides are still. It responds where slides repeat. It travels by a single link, opens on any screen, and stays current without anyone touching it. Everything we ask of a modern story —shareable, editable, interactive, embeddable — the web answered years ago. Presentations simply haven't caught up.
They will. Not overnight — PowerPoint won't disappear tomorrow, and it doesn't deserve contempt. It taught the world structure, hierarchy, and the discipline of one idea per frame. That craft carries forward. The file format doesn't.
The next presentation isn't a file. It's a page. Not a projection in a darkened room, but a destination anyone can visit, use, and return to.

One person, one studio
SparkSlides is built and run by one person. What started as PowerPoint templates and how-to videos grew into a small collection of tools — SparkEmbed, SparkText, SparkPublish — each one built to solve a specific moment where a slide deck felt smaller than the idea inside it.
Being one person means every product gets real attention: bugs are read personally, feature requests are actually considered, and if something breaks, there's a real person fixing it. It also means things move at a human pace — new tools ship when they're ready, not on a quarterly roadmap.
