How to embed a Google Sheets chart in PowerPoint

Build your chart in Google Sheets
Open your spreadsheet. Select the data range, click Insert > Chart, and choose your chart type (bar, line, pie, scatter, or combo). Customize the title, colors, and labels in the chart editor.

Publish the chart to the web
Click the three-dot menu on the chart, then select "Publish chart." In the dialog, choose the "Link" tab and click Publish. Google gives you a URL. Copy it. The chart at this URL updates automatically whenever the spreadsheet data changes.

Tips for the best results
Use "Publish chart" not "Get link." The regular sharing link opens the full spreadsheet. The "Publish chart" link opens just the chart, which is what SparkEmbed needs.
Set permissions carefully. Publishing a chart to the web makes it visible to anyone with the URL. If the data is sensitive, consider publishing a chart built from a summary sheet rather than the raw data.
Test the URL in a browser first. Paste the published URL into a new browser tab. If the chart loads correctly there, it will work in SparkEmbed.

Does the chart really update automatically?
Yes. Google Sheets published charts refresh automatically. When you change data in the spreadsheet, the chart at the published URL updates within a few minutes. The next time your slide loads, it shows the current data.
Can I embed a Google Sheets table, not just a chart?
Yes. Publish a cell range to the web and embed that URL. The slide shows a scrollable, formatted table pulled live from your spreadsheet.
Does my audience need a Google account to see the chart?
No. Published charts are public web pages. Anyone viewing the slide sees the chart, no login required.
What if I stop publishing the chart?
If you unpublish the chart in Google Sheets, the URL stops working and the slide will show a blank frame. Republishing restores it.
